what happens in vegas...

seriously needs to stay there.
Mother's Day weekend:
3:30am bedtimes for a very little homebody named Shelby.
children with fevers and coughs.
2:30am smoke alarms jolting us STRAIGHT out of bed that the hotel couldn't figure out how to shut down that went on for over an hour... loud, ear piercing, high pitch alarm complete with flashing lights in every room. (nice)
a wedding in St. George that we drove to from Vegas all in one night, casually
forgetting the one hour time difference... let's just say we were very very late.
a trip home on Mother's day that took over 7 hours, in the car. with 3 kids.
not a pretty Mother's day. nope, not a pretty Mother's day.

But, I did find a happy place in all that mess... my dearest husband wrote me the sweetest card that made me cry, and my 2 most amazing parents telling my kids stories, bringing them loud annoying toys (pop guns), and taking them swimming made the trip worth all the sleepless nights.
Thank you, Mark, Mom, & Dad for making my Mother's Day weekend frenzy a wonderful weekend to remember :)
love you.

Look at the way Rowan is holding Bonka's hand.
Such love pouring out of that precious little boy.
Now Sarah on the other hand had a different attitude for the day - we know she will be as sweet as Rowan at age three!!!
Love them all - even little Shelby hiding behind her very cute Mommy.
Vegas was great!
