big news!

Ok, as if no one reading this blog doesn't already know! But, I am 10 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and we are very excited! It's a bit of a surprise, though. We didn't PLAN on having our kids 18 months apart, but that's just the way it's going to happen for us! You know, the more I think about it, the more excited I am that they will be so close. I am exactly 2 years apart from my brother and love that we were always close in age/school/church. We had so much fun together! So, after 2 ultrasounds and lots of morning sickness, it has been confirmed that this is a strong baby, wiggly and all... hmmm, just like someone else I know. So, as many of you know and can imagine, my Europe trip was not all fun and games. I did feel very sick most of the time, riding in cars was a nightmare because there are so many roundabouts everywhere and they are quite a bit tighter than the nice wide roundabouts in Ladera Ranch, so I was motionsick in just about every mode of transportation we took... trains, buses, even the subways sometimes! I had to faceforward... I am also so happy to report that the medical baby routines have changed and they now do a first trimester screen which includes a full ultrasound in which they are pretty accurate in determining the baby's sex! So, in a few weeks, we could know if Rowan will have a baby sister or brother... I'm sure he will be thrilled with either! This kid is such a people person... I'll keep the posts coming!

Congrats mamma!! I wanted to send you a comment and ask how the traveling was going while you were pregnant but I wasn't sure if the word was out yet. I bet you are so happy to be home and if my memory serves me right you are probably drinking lots of Fresca and eating lots of saltines (that's what I lived on for 3 months) Rowan is so lucky to have a baby brother or sister coming!! We love you guys and are very excited for your family!
