Mark's "Old World"

Mark & James with their best friends, The Barkers (Audra, Odette, and Dell) the family they grew up with all their lives.
Mark's Boys School, amazing that it was founded in 700 AD...Dunning is actually a Scottish name and the Dunning Scots immigrated to England hundreds of years ago settling in this area of Yorkshire countyThis is the Shambles in the city of York (read pic below). I was so amazed at how tiny the streets were and how close the buildings are to each other with a street in between. It looked like they could almost touch!
Here is the wall surrounding the city of York. It was built to protect the city within, the stairs + the stroller to get up there were acrobatic to say the least! People thought we were crazy carrying this huge stroller with a sleeping child down these steep narrow stairs, the stroller barely fit, I mean barely....Best part of the day! Yummmmmm! All kinds of pasties, from peppered steak to tomato & basil... a "hot meal in your hands" :)

Rowan has just loved the food here! He's eating quiche, pasties, sausage rolls, mangoes, cheeses, you name it, this kid will eat it!! It's been great since they do not have macaroni and cheese here....
