We just made it to Gerona, Spain and sadly left our little boy behind... He's in heaven though with his Nanna & Granddad getting spoiled with trips to feed the ducks, the petting zoo, and yummy homemade food to eat each day! Suzette pureed him fresh carrots for dinner last night and he loved it! He's in the very best of hands. That's the good news, the bad news is we are here in Spain on the Costa Brava at the Mediterranean Sea in a 4 Star Hotel with a PRIVATE BEACH and it's an all out DOWNPOUR right now... it's raining!! So, we left soggy England to find sun, but besides the people speaking a different language still feel like we are in England.... oh well! The forecast says that it will be sunny tomorrow so we hope! Gotta take advantage of this beautiful beach! Ok so, my birthday party was lots of fun, thanks to Mark's great friends here. We had a fabulous dinner of Indian curry over rice (amazing) and lots of desserts to choose from (pavlova, a meringe pie with strawberries and grapes and custard, wow!) and that lovely English chocolate cake thanks to Suzette! It was so fun, the highlight was being surrounded by my English fan club (all the kids). They are darling!! 3 girls, aged 9 to 11 - Chloe, Megan, and Shauna - I couldn't get enough of their accents, so cute!! They kept saying how "gorgeous" the chocolate cake was... I just love the way English people speak, they use the best words. All in all, a great experience... we just hope Spain will be the same! I have some shopping to do for my birthday!!
Megan & Shauna helping me open my presents!
Chloe, me & Megan... GORGEOUS girls!
The best chocolate cake in the world!
This is Reese, 6 years old. He loved taking guesses at how old I was! It ranged from 23 to 43!
Here is Megan, she is 9 years old and just darling.
And this is Chloe reading to Rowan. She is 11 years old and just started secondary school (which is like high school here!) Her and I were both wearing our "skinny" jeans and talked about how fun it is to go shopping!! She is beautiful.
Chloe, Shauna, and Megan.... the cutest girls ever!

Oh my gosh so cute! I love all these pictures! sure sounds like you guys are having tons of fun! Too bad about the weather. Hopefully by what you said the weather will clear up. And I know how much you like to shop so I hope you have tons of fun! I'm not a shopper but shopping in Spain would be so fun. I wouldn't mind shopping there. I would love to say more but I'll late to class! I miss you and love you! Have fun!
I will be dreaming of the beach in Spain as I unpack and organize into the new house... :) Can't wait to see you guys when you get back! Have so much fun!!
So glad you had a great birthday! Can't wait to hear all about your fabulous adventures in Espagne. I hope you get in some good beach days in between your birthday shopping. Enjoy your couple time: you guys deserve it! (and I am sure it will be much appreciated in months to come). We miss you guys. Sunday isn't quite the same without Sunday diner with the Dunnings. Oh, and Mark, Ian wants you to bring him back a phone book. Or 12. In Spanish and French, if you can find them.
So adorable! Trust me cous, you look terrific!!! I love your hair! The kids are gorgeous too! I am very jealous that I don't get to hear that incredible English accent. You know I always joke to Joel that if I ever remarried, it would be to an English guy! Hope you have fun in Spain!
