long awaited travels

after 3 years of marriage, mark is finally taking me to his homeland!! Mother England. we leave on sep. 13 and will be there for 3 weeks... rowan included! our trip plans include a few days in london, paris, and barcelona with a day's drive to the french riveria... we will be there over my birthday (sep 22) and will be spending that with mark's parents in northern England. i am SO excited for my first trip EVER to Europe (or anywhere outside the continental US, mexico, canada...) unfortunately, our timing was off a little because our goal was to get there to see mark's Nannie before her illness got worse, but sadly she passed away on Saturday night. we will be there for her funeral. she was 90 years old and lived such a happy and fulfilled life. mark has many fond memories of her. so he is very excited to be going, it's been 7 years since he's been home.

We are so excited for you guys! Your trip will be amazing. And so fun for Mark to be able to go home after all this time. Please let him know that we are sorry to hear about his Nannie. How wonderful, though, that you get to celebrate her life at her funeral.
