We made it home! It never felt so good to be home!! We had such a great time in Texas, it was so fun to spend time with our family and friends. But our trip back was another story! Let me just say, WE HATE AMERICAN AIRLINES!! They are seriously NOT family friendly, and the WORST airline for customer service! We arrived at the airport Sunday morning for what we thought was our flight to find out it had been cancelled! We proceeded to the customer service desk to have this crabby lady tell us there was nothing she could do and that we'd have to fly standby. What a joke, when AA overbooks every flight by 8 people (we found out!) So, standby became such a nightmare when we kept going to every flight to Dallas with our little baby in his stroller begging for a ride. Of course in our predicament, we were not given priority! (They cancelled our flight, without telling us!) We waited for almost 3 hours before we got a flight only to have 20 minutes to cross the entire Dallas airport and catch our connecting flight home! It was a disaster, we barely made it and had to sit in the very very back of the plane and had crabby airline attendants with no tolerance for babies. Even water for his bottle was $2!! So, you can't bring water through security, but have to PAY for it once you get on the plane, nuts! Anyway, it was a bad day of travel, even Rowan was upset for most of the day... poor little boy, he just wanted to go home! We will never fly them again. We are sooo spoiled by Southwest. They treat families like their First Class customers, pre-board, constant assistance, smiles (who would have thought you'd appreciate THAT when you flew across the country); they make every accomodation for the baby to get their own seat! Just wonderful customer service. But despite the bad day of travel, we loved our visit to Texas. JoAnn's wedding was absolutely gorgeous. Probably the nicest and most elegant wedding I'd ever been to. From her dress, to the photography, to the food, the band... it was such an awesome night! Rowan got to hang out with a nanny (her name was Dalia) and she couldn't have been any sweeter. She read to him, played with him and they watched Baby Einstein together, it was so cute. We had this room right there next to the ballroom where Rowan even had his own crib! It was amazing... Here are some pictures from the trip.

Allegra was all giggles in the swing back to back with Rowan... They are new buddies.
Rowan loved Benihana's! He could not stop watching the chef make our food! He was so enthralled with the steam, the smells, the onion train! It was so fun to watch him get so excited... maybe he'll want to be a chef one day!
After dinner, we all went for a walk around their neighborhood and Gianluca rode his trike around with his sunglasses (of course) and the boys pushed the babies. It was so nice. They live in such a great area. We loved our visit! Thanks, Maggiora Family!

OH you poor things!!!! I am so glad that you finally made it home!! I love SW too, they are great and family oriented. And yes, that picture of Mark was handsome...it looks like it should be in a magazine! And the red you were wearing was gorgeous on you btw!!!
Great pictures. I'm so sorry about your flying experience. We fly SW a lot too and they are great (cramped, but great). Your friends dress is gorgeous and you look great too.
Kristy.. I can't believe how big Rowan is getting.. So adorable. AA is terrible. I have never had a good experience with them.
Do you not love Austin? Baker and I almost moved there last year, but held out just a bit and now are planted here. Texas is so fun!
