our last Saturday together as a 3-some... first stop - Las Brisas in Laguna for our favorite brunch, Rowan was only upset in the picture because we took away his puzzle so he could eat! he loves puzzles....
until Daddy gave him his "cooold" which is ice water that we drink, Rowan loves to play with the ice cubes, holding them in his hands saying with a smile, "Cooooold", then throwing them back in the glass.
oh, and the straw... ?
of all the yummy things to eat and all he wanted was these little blueberry muffins...
and finally Daddy got his water back
It was such a great Saturday, the kind of day that you want to last longer than it did. I've been going through what most Moms do with having a second child in that how can you love another as much as you love the first? How do you "split" your time and attention? I've been cherishing all my moments with him because I know that for the first little while anyway, he's going to want all of me when I'll be tending to a newborn. He will love having a sibling, I know he will. He's such a loving little boy. When we ask him, "where's the baby?" He (roughly as boys do) pats my tummy and says, "baby, baby". At his young age of 18 months, he does seem to know something is about to happen... hopefully he'll fall in love with Sarah when he meets her like we will.

Yeaahh!!! I am so excited you are having her tomorrow!!!! I was nervous too, that I wouldn't love Allegra as much as Gianluca, but it is amazing all of the room you have in your heart to love these beautiful little children!!! Rowan will do fine! When Allegra was about a week old, Gianluca threw a book at her head!!! But that was the worst of the jealousy!! Thank Goodness! Anyways, best of luck! I love you and know that you will be a great mom!

So fun- we went through that, too. How can you possibly love another baby as much as the first? In our case, we just had the exact same baby again. And even though you don't think it's possible, the second one makes you twice as happy! Good luck on Saturday. We'll be thinking of you!
