So, we SOLD our car today!!!! I have to admit, I always get very attached to cars, homes, anything where memories are made... So, I had mixed feelings today leaving the car that we brought Rowan home from the hospital in... Even though this new car will be the car we bring Sarah home in and the car they will get toddler smears and milk stains and sing "Old MacDonald" in and watch Mommy rock out in... So, out with the old - in with the new, right?? When Mark and I moved to Ladera Ranch from our first townhome in Huntington Beach, I was so sad... We are talking depressed for a few weeks. I kept telling Mark, "this new house just doesn't feel like home yet... we dated while you lived in that place (he had bought it when he was single and it was quite the bachelor pad!), we were newlyweds there, we remodeled it together and it was the first place I really felt proud of my 'design' work" (looking back on the design work, though - I laugh because I've learned a lot... I'm not my Mom, but I try). But, of course - after a few weeks I started to feel at home in our Ladera house as we started to make memories here. I'm such a nostalgia-junkie. I'm sure as time goes on, I'll love the P-Finder as much as the Volvo... sniff sniff.

Oh! I LOVE Pathfinders!!! What color did you get? Silver like the picture? It will be so nice to have a bigger car with two... twice the stuff! I too am a volvo girl though and think they are great. Bigger and Newer is always nicer though! You looked SO great at your shower and I can't wait to meet baby Sarah!!! XOXO
Too funny about your birthday post! Congrats on the new car but I also get very attached to inanimate objects like cars and houses...maybe that could be a new disorder for the pharma companies. But good job thinking about all of the future memories to be made!!
That's funny Kristy. I understand sentimental value in things, but in a car? Your too cute. I guess I'm desensitized because Brook sells cars. He's always putting me in something different. Half the time I don't even know what I'm driving.
Kristy! Welcome to the SUV world! You'll love that car-except parking it. It's a very nice car I've ridden in one several times, nice choice. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Saturday!:)
I tried to post earlier but don't know if it went through because my computer was being koo-koo. So sorry if this is a double posting...Congratulations on your new car. I can't wait to see it. I understand being attached to things like cars, houses, ect. I was sad when I left my other car at the dealership before getting my current car and was also sad when we left our townhome in Ladera for our new home. I think for me it is the change, it takes getting used to. But with all that said, you can't beat a shiny new car and that new car smell :)
This post totally struck a chord with me- I do the SAME thing! I take pictures of cars and homes before we sell them and I get mopey about it too for the same reasons. Total nostalgia junky...speaking of which- it was this month last year that you guys visited, *hint* ;)
Ha.. you've come full circle! You were driving a pathfinder when we lived in HB. You will love it and find a cute name for it soon I'm sure. Remeber Rod...wasn't that your UT Civic's name??
yes, summer! it is silver... such a pretty color but a guzzler on gas... whoa.
