Let's see how it tastes on this side of our beachcamp.
Hmm, about the same as under the umbrella.
But I better lick my fingers just to make sure...
Well, it's good, tastes the same, always kinda critty. But, I think I'll go for another bite and try it somewhere else.
Pretty funny!! He loved the water, too. I'd hold him while he stood up and we'd watch the waves come right towards us then he'd squeal and scream with excitement while the water washed over our feet! At first, it would take his little breath away because it was cold!! I don't think he'd ever felt cold water like that before. After a few waves, he didn't seem to mind though... He was squealing away for another one! Right before it was baby meltdown time (i.e. naptime) we went in for a final wade when a crazy teenager on a skurfboard (this thin, but heavy and rough, mix between a skateboard without wheels and mini surfboard that these teenagers get a running head start from the beach and jump on their boards to surf the wave just before it crashes on the sand). So, right before the wave crashed, HE crashed right in front of us! His board got sucked into the wave and shot out right at our feet! Luckily, I was holding Rowan and he wasn't still in the water... Because it clotheslined me at both my ankles and caused quite the injury! I was bleeding, bruised, swollen... can you say bad luck? Smashed finger, smashed ankles... I mean really. But I am soo glad it hit me and not any of the babies. That could have been disasterous. And, I'll take the sympathy from my husband any day... he's always so good to me when I'm hurt/sick. He just brought me Advil and said he'd do the dishes (ok, that one I'll believe when I see... ha).

How funny that I just put my post up of the day, clicked on you, and there it was! I love those pictures of Rowan eating the sand. Oddly enough, he didn't seem to mind once it got into his mouth. It's just dirt right? What's the old saying, "God made dirt, and dirt don't hurt!" HA! Email me the pictures from the day when you get a sec, I'm sure they all turned out great.
Ouch! I felt so bad for your little ankles ... hope you feel better soon! Thanks for planning such a fun party :")
Those turned out so sweet, he is such an adorable boy! Love Rowan. How are your ankles doing? That is so annoying!
What kindred spirits Rowan and Aly are! Aly pooped sand for 3 days after our trip to the beach! I am sorry about that kid trying to take you out- look at you sacrificing your body to save your child :) Hope it at least got you out of the dishes!
Rowan is so sweet! I can't wait until Carson is old enough to take swimming.
Sorry to hear about your injuries... sounds like we have the same "good" luck :)
So sorry to hear about your ankle. You should have had Rowan spit some sand at the scurfer! Kiana is a daughter of the new family, the Clapps.
Mmm sounds yummy;) Emma just enjoyed her first taste of rocks the other day. How wonderful! he he. I'm so happy that Katie has such great friends to hang with in California, you girls look like such a fun bunch.
Oh I love sand eating babies.. he is seriously to die for in these pictures!
