Rowan's Buzz

So, Saturday started out like any other day with a nice family run with Mark and Rowan. Mark pushed the stroller so it was a nice break! Although they only went half the distance I had to go... I ran 7 miles!! It really is amazing the capabilities the human body has when given the time to build endurance. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked when you need to know what Mark did to Rowan when we got home... So, there I was in the kitchen making some stuff for a friend (who was hosting 40 people at her house for her baby blessing...), Mark had baby duty upstairs when the phone rang. I went upstairs to check on Rowan while he was on his call... much to my SURPRISE and dismay, Mark had CUT Rowan's hair WITH SCISSORS!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for worrying about the older 3 year old with scissors lying around might he cut the younger sister's hair with them, but MY HUSBAND???!??? It was terrible... I got the camera out to try and snap a picture, but Mark wouldn't let me (cuz he knew he'd get blogged)... So, here was poor Rowan missing half of his bangs, (Mark argues that baby boys shouldn't have bangs...) and chunks missing from the sides of his head (Mark said he wouldn't hold still... hmmm, ya think?). So, off we went with a hat over Rowan's head to the nearest Supercuts for a summer buzz. Actually when it was all said and done (and I'd cooled off), Rowan's buzz cut looked sooo cute! I actually love it. He looks so boyish and handsome. Mark kept saying over and over... SEE? I knew you'd like it..." yea yea.

Oh, and see those splotchy patches on the sides... couldn't be fixed without shaving it... at least it will grow back! Mark was really adamant that Rowan always look like a boy, no long hair ever!! Scroll down to see a comparison pic... the long locks that are now gone!! But it is a good look for him, Mark was right.... he does look more like a clean cut boy and less like a shaggy one.
