Teaching Piano!!

Wow, when word gets out, it really gets out! I just received a new calling as the Ward Music Chairman, which has definitely gotten me out of the "musical rut" I was in. I hadn't played the piano but on rare occasions in church until now! I practiced a song and actually got it close enough to perform and played in Sacrament meeting a few weeks ago... teaching piano then became the next topic of conversation at church! I started off with 3 students and in just 2 days, now have 8! I am so excited for this. I have to credit my Mom for making me take lessons all those years (even though I complained a LOT) because now I am able to put those skills to good use! I am so glad that I know how to play and that I'm able to play well enough to teach kids. Here is a cute picture of Rowan learning from his "Uncle" Curt. One day, Rowan will be learning to play!!
