Solo!
Ok, so I'm really diving headfirst into this calling. I showed up to choir practice today before church and bam! got hit with a solo!!! It was the first time I'd sung by myself since I was about 21 (singles ward days...) and I really embarrassed myself back then by tripping over the stool for the little kids... hilarious, but very bad for my dating life. Afterward, I remember a guy coming up to me and saying, "that was a lovely song... and dance." Then we all laughed... you have to in a situation like that!! Needless to say, I sort of swore off the whole singing in church thing... until now! It was great, and suprisingly, I really enjoyed it... I was less nervous than when I played the piano. (Of course it was only 2 lines and I got to stand there with someone else!!) I do really love this new calling and love music. Look at all that's come from this! Piano lessons, solos... and new friends. It was a very nice Sunday.

First of all...I wasn't sure if I should answer you back on my blog or yours, but I opted for you. And second of all i heard you singing while I was in the hall today and it was so good. The perfect calling in my opinion. I was there but we left mid sunday school b/c Taylor has had a really bad ear infection and a really bad reaction to the antibiotic she's on and we thought we could do church today but we were definitely wrong. it just wasn't working. So...I'd love to hang out this week while Mark is away. Taylor isn't contagious but on the downside - we can't go outside until she's off her medication b/c the sun causes a rash. So - I might not be a lot of fun, but we can be indoors. Okay...longest comment EVER! Call me.
As if I didn't write a small novel, but I will explain the border thing to you. You have to mess with the HTML code, but it's pretty easy. I really should make it a lot cuter but haven't gotten around to it.
